Judge: FLDS leader’s daughter must keep her lawyer
A daughter of jailed polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs will not be allowed to dump her court-appointed lawyer in the child custody case. Texas District Judge Barbara Walther ruled late Thursday, after hours of fighting among the attorneys, that Natalie Malonis would continue to represent the 17-year-old girl.
