Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Former Enron Corp. executives Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling didn't conspire to mislead investors about the energy trader's losses and were deceived by thieving subordinates, a defense lawyer said at their fraud trial today.
